DO&CB Welcomes New Partner, Kimberly O’Toole!
Kim O’Toole has had a fire in her belly since day one – graduating summa cum laude from Georgetown University and cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center, before starting her legal career in Shearman & Sterling’s Litigation Department. She has defended corporate clients in domestic and international contract disputes, including the representation of an international bank in a multi-billion dollar breach of fiduciary duty case arising out of the management of an insurance trust. She has counseled banking clients on various issues, including the credit risks associated with lending to corporations with potential litigation exposure to large class action claims. She has represented insurance companies in health benefits litigation matters including suits alleging breaches of hospital services agreements and fraudulent billing practices by providers and defended insurance companies in life insurance matters involving allegations of bad faith and sought recoveries on behalf of companies in agent debt cases. She has also been involved with real estate transactions and has a thriving hospitality litigation practice. And last but not least, she can scream Hoya Saxa louder than anyone. Ever.
If you’ve ever met Kim (or even spoken with her on the phone), then you know she is one of a kind and lives to slay dragons for her clients, friends and family. We could not be more pleased to have her join us as a partner!
