Michelle d’Arcambal has more than twenty years of experience defending companies in all aspects of commercial litigation, including class actions, mediations, arbitrations, appeals, and trial. Ms. d’Arcambal has a unique understanding of corporations and their businesses, which she garnered during her years as Counsel in the Legal Department of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. At MetLife, she defended the Company in nationwide class actions relating to allegations concerning the sale of individual life insurance products. Ms. d’Arcambal also specialized in litigation defense involving health, life, accidental death and disability plans, including those governed by ERISA, supervised outside counsel nationwide, and advised business clients regarding pre-litigation issues.
Ms. d’Arcambal was also a commercial litigation partner in the New York City office of Ross & Hardies, now known as McGuire Woods LLP, a 200-lawyer firm then based in Chicago. At Ross & Hardies, Ms. d'Arcambal represented a national bank in all aspects of its lending transactions, including defending the bank against allegations of securities fraud, and providing representation before the Office of the Comptroller of Currency. Ms. d’Arcambal also represented brokers/dealers in various matters before the NASD. Ms. d’Arcambal began her legal career in the litigation department of Brown & Wood, LLP, now known as Sidley Austin, LLP, where she concentrated on securities and real estate litigation.
Ms. d’Arcambal graduated from Smith College in 1981 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and English Literature and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1985, where she was a member of the Wisconsin International Law Journal.

Ms. d’Arcambal is admitted to practice in the Federal and State Courts of New York. She is active in the National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms (“NAMWOLF”) and the Defense Research Institute (“DRI”).
